God is a Spirit; We who worship Him, do so in Spirit and Truth!
Syncretism has penetrated into our worship through the accretion of symbols that
have no place in our worship. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Personally, I hate, and I mean "HATE", all of the
portraits of blue-eyed, golden hippy haired icons and statuary that represent
God or man. Mary has great honor in my theology, because under the anointing of
the Holy Spirit she proclaimed that all generations would call her "blessed".
But imagery is a idol. The Roman Catholic Church has erred greatly in this
profusion of Christ, God, Mary, angels and specific saints statues. I am
relieved that they haven't tried to make a statue to depict the Holy
Spirit!</FONT></DIV>

idolatry, worship of a false god. Since Catholics do not worship
statues, or Mary, the term is out of line.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>A better term would be "image" or
"statue."</FONT></DIV>

incorrect - there is a space in front of the "our" which makes it an invalid
