it.<BR><BR>According to the <EM>motu proprio</EM> <A href="http://www.catholicculture.org/library/view.cfm?recnum=7651">Summorum Pontificum</A>, promulgated on Saturday and scheduled to take effect on September 14th, <STRONG>every priest has the right</STRONG> to say Mass using the Roman Missal of 1962, and pastors are to provide that liturgy to any "stable group" of parishioners who request it.<BR><BR>The Pope also <STRONG>explained his reasons</STRONG> in a <A href="http://www.catholicculture.org/library/view.cfm?recnum=7650">Letter to the Bishops on the Occasion of the Publication of Summorum Pontificum</A>.<BR><BR><STRONG>The Law of Diminishing Returns</STRONG><BR><BR>I was delighted when we received nearly $3,500 in the first 24 hours after explaining our need for funds last week.
