Art,

This has got to be the sorriest election cycle and the sorriest set of choices in my lifetime. McCain would be tougher on terrorism (up to a point) than Queen Evita or Snobama, but domestically, he seems only a shade or two less lefty/socialist/big government/rah-rah amnesty for illegals. And he's always going on about his "friends" the Dems, using "my friends" every other sentence, trashing conservatives, and apologizing profusely anytime anyone sneezes loudly toward his "friends" the Dems. I can't abide Juan McAmnesty, but Snobama and his nasty wife Queen Michelle, and Queen Evita and her can't-keep-it-zipped hubby King Ahab totally turn me off.

Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, or Wil E. Coyote would be better candidates. Count me this election as one of those voters totally disgusted with, and alienated from, both major political parties. I'll probably vote Constitution Party, at least tthat party is unequivocably pro-life and pro-secure-and-enforce-our-borders.

I definitely agree with your assessment of the lack of toughness in John McCain. It's funny, but as weak as Pesident Bush is politically, I think he would be a better general election candidate than McCain. He wouldn't pull his punches, but McCain clearly will.

The GOP might have more on Snobama that they are saving for the general, should he get the nomination over Queen Evita, but given that Juan McAmnesty apologizes profusely when anyone sneezes funny in the direction of his "friends" on the Dem side of the aisle, I doubt the GOP will use anything. The Dems will pull out the stops come the general, while McAmnesty will likely wimp out on pulling out the stops. He's too busy trying to show that he's just as "progressive" as his "friends."

I don't know the details yet, but I can tell you Obama can read the polls.

Rev. Wright was going to be the next Willie Horton with the same election results. This probably will insulate Obama from most of the fallout over Rev. Wright and increase his chances of winning.

However, I'm guessing the Republicans have more on Obama they are saving for the general election.

Art

--- On Sat, 5/31/08, CBSNews---Breaking_News <cbsnews___breaking_news-arthurkelly=yahoo.com@cbsig.com> wrote:
