You can ask any priest (worth their salt, that is) and they should tell you that any time you use the Lord's name it should be respectfully and/or prayerfully. Inadvertant or not, exclaiming "Oh, God!" or "Jesus Christ" IS taking the Lord's name in vain. Saying it inadvertantly makes it a venial sin, saying it on purpose could make it a mortal sin.</DIV>
