He only gives ammo to the non-believers to mock the Church and Christ even more than they do already. "Christians" like him (and there are similar ones in the Evangelical/Charismatic circles - I should know, I had to endure such yahoos back the 80s and 90s) make people think Christianity is something silly for people whose elevators don't go to the top floor.
