had previously run for something as a Democrat, say that people (I think she
means members of her party) did not believe her when she said she was
pro-choice. It didn't help her that she had 7 children, but her point
was that choice means choosing and this was her choice.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

face=Arial>I know nothing else about her, but I'm guessing she lost the
Democratic nomination to someone who was a more believable

face=Arial>That brings me to Mitt Romney. I read recently where some
evangelical Christian say the problem with Romney is not that he is a Mormon,
but that <U>he's not Mormon enough</U>, <EM>i.e.</EM> his once-upon-a-time
support for abortion rights and homosexual rights. I don't think
<EM>real</EM> Mormons would be for those things.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<U>actual</U> Mormon theology is not as pro-life and anti-homosexual rights as
you might think. So this pro-abortion Mormon woman may have been a
perfectly good Mormon.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

Mormons like<BR>this. First comment to the article is interesting. Didn't bother
going<BR>further than that.<BR><BR>Interestingly, and no doubt because the
Mormons are perceived as such a<BR>"conservative" church, polls show that there
is more "anti-Mormon" sentiment<BR>on the Left than on the Right--if you define
"anti-Mormon" as people who say<BR>they will not vote for a candidate because he
is a Mormon. Diversity goes<BR>only so far, I guess. Everything in moderation.
