I would like to ask everyone's prayers for my
brother-in-law and the family. My sister called me
yesterday with the news that he has liver cancer. He has two
fairly large tumors, one on each side. He is not in good
general health and the tumors have advanced to the point that
treatment would not provide any benefit or quality of life.
Because of that he has decided to forego any treatments. They

Will he forego some pain blockers, for maximum clarity of mind in
his last days on earth? Do hospice doctors even consider this
aspect? My mother-in-law succumbed to multiple system failure
(kidneys, lungs, heart, digestion) after a pneumonia at 88, and
since she would have to be sedated to hook her up to a breathing
machine (with a miracle as the only medical hope), we moved her to
hospice (with only oxygen to help her breathe, and ice chips for
thirst - she could not swallow, and her colon had shutdown, so a
feeding tube would not help). One disappointment was that the pain
killers kept her in a fog the last few days. But not being able to
breath properly might have been a factor too. All the more reason
not to count on a deathbed conversion!

BTW, having abandoned medical treatment, there is no reason not to
try non-traditional. E.g. juice (raw fruits and veggies) "fast"
with maybe some B17 (ground apple seeds, plum/apricot/peach pits).

By removing the fiber from high nutrition foods, a juice "fast"
maximizes the micronutrients available to the body (assuming
digestion is still working). This often allows the body to fight
off illness it was previously succumbing to.

Lookup toxic levels of B17 to avoid too much, but it preferentially
kills cancer cells with a cyanide molecule that is harmless until
activated by an enzyme produced primarily by cancer cells. (Like a
natural chemotherapy.) It was rejected by the medical industry
because dosage is tricky (and possibly for more cynical reasons as
well). (The dosage problem is legitimate - for example vitamin E
is a blood thinner in large doses, but it is much harder to manage
the dose because it has a non-linear response vs "rat poison", hence
the latter is preferred by doctors.)
