Exodus 31: The Craftsmen and the Sabbath

• 31:2 God's workers are chosen and gifted.
• 31:3 Only Bezalel was filled with the Spirit of God.
• 31:14 Once again, profaning the Sabbath results in death under the Law of Moses. This commandment is the most often emphasized, and the most often ignored by Christians today. Neither the petty legalisms of the Pharisee nor the outright disregard of today are pleasing to God. Remember that while the Law of Moses was for Israel under the old covenant, the commandments are for all men from creation. The sabbath was no exception, being instituted at creation.
• 31:18 God writes the ten commandments on tablet of stone with His own hand. This concludes the instructions given to Moses over 40 days.
