Ezekiel 41:1-26: The Temple

• 41:3 "into the inner sanctuary" - as a priest, Ezekiel could enter the Holy place.
• 41:4 "This is the Most Holy Place" - Ezekiel did not enter the Most Holy Place.
• 41:18 "each cherub had two faces" - Ezekiel's earlier visions and the Revelation of John describe cherubim with four faces. But only two faces are depicted on the walls.
• 41:19 "face of a lion ... face of a man" - if this suggests perfected creation and perfected dominion to you, that places this temple in the millenium, where the "lion and the calf shall graze". Isaiah 11:6
• 41:22 "Before the LORD" - before the Most Holy Place (Holy of Holies). The table is too small for sacrifices and is an incense altar.
• 41:24,25 "folding panels .. wooden canopy" - this kind of detail makes "spiritualizing" this temple ridiculous.
