In the days of Jeroboam, an unnamed man of God from Judah prophesies the birth of Josiah, and his campaign to cleanse the land. 1 Kings 13
Four hundred years later, that prophecy is fulfilled. 2 Chronicles 34
In the 18th year of Josiah’s reign, the book of the law is rediscovered while
repairing the temple. Josiah sees the awful wicknedness of the nation and
humbles himself before the LORD. The prophetess Huldah proclaims the decree of
God: the nation will be conquered by foreigners according to the curses written
in the law.
2 Chronicles 34:24
But - there can still be blessing under that rule if they repent and submit to their punishment. Or destruction of Jerusalem if they continue to rebel.
