The only thing there was an attempt to curtail is their "right" to kill their
own baby after it's already partially born (and the law is still hung up
in the courts).  Nobody stopped them from voting (multiple times in many
places).  They can still kill their baby before it's born, but their health,
mental, physical, and spiritual will be much improved if they stop doing so.
