It really bugs me that the press can't get important basic facts right.
Terri is *not* on life-support. She wouldn't even need a feeding tube if
people would stop trying to kill her long enough for her to get the basic
therapy normally used successfully for people in a similar condition.
I was mad the other day because ieee.org reported some Microsoft FUD
as fact. But such carelessness in a life and death situation like
Terri's *really* gets me steamed. I believe it is a deliberate lie.
The people originating it want to make people think that Terri is
a "corpse on life-support" situation.
What I want to know is: OK, they remove the feeding tube. Are they
going to stop her parents from trying to help her eat without it?
The answer, of course, is yes, the goal is to kill Terri. But well publicized
attempts to get food to Terri might help people to see what is really
happening.
