[Apologetics] People of Faith to Demonstrate Against Torture at Vice President Cheney's House

Dear Rev. Orr,

Thank you for your thoughtful comments.

I am strongly opposed to torture of prisioners, as it
lowers us to the moral level of barbarians.

As a Vietnam veteran, I very much believe in the
Geneva Convention, not only because it is absolutely
the right thing to do, but because if you don't, it
gives an excellent excuse for prisioners of the U.S.
and our allies to be treated in a like manner.

However, I did not forward the news release on the
demonstration in front of the Vice President's house
to the Group because I agreed with it. Rather, I
forward a LOT of religious articles and commentaries
for informational purposes, some of which are
diametrically opposed to my beliefs.

When I send something along, I'll sometimes attach a
sentence or two. But other times, the item seems self
explanatory.

I also appreciate your previous comments on the canon
of the New Testament and plan to send a substantive
reply as soon as I have time. I've been working about
65 to 70 hours a week, so time has been in very short
supply.

However, my employer gives everyone off Good Friday.
So, if I don't get a chance to write back to you
before then, I may reply sometime in between the
Stations of the Cross in the afternoon and the liturgy
in the evening.

Thanks again.

When you reply to anything, if you want, please press
the Reply to All button so that everyone in the Group
can receive your comments.

Respectfully,
Art
