  Now in its third day, Pope Benedict XVI's visit to
Turkey seems to be more constructive than was
predicted by the more pessimistic commentators.
Although the pope came to Turkey mainly to meet with
Orthodox Patriarch Bartolomeos, he has been able to
build some bridges with Muslims as well. The headlines
and commentaries in the Turkish media have been
growing more and more positive from the moment the
pontiff set foot on Turkish soil.
