So how do we turn millions of gullible idiots back into thinking
people? Why do you think so many people are so crippled
in their critical thinking?

Based on the "It's for the children!" non-arguments used so effectively
by both right and left political parties, the problem seems
to be much bigger than an evil movie.

Just like ghetto children suffer from an "It's not cool to do well
in school" culture, we as a nation suffer from an "It's wrong
to judge - critical thinking is immoral" culture.

I do recommend not seeing the movie or buying the book (unless you
want to enjoy them as fiction - albeit blasphemous fiction). Neither
are needed to debunk alleged "facts" on which the fiction is based.
Although people will complain, "How can you judge the movie when
you haven't even seen it?", the answer is "I'm not judging the movie -
I'm judging alleged facts on which the movie claims to be based." And
of course, if you do see the movie you'll get complementary objections.

The real objection is that judging is immoral. Until you address
that, there is no audience for your apologetics. And pointing
out that the statement "judging is immoral" is itself a judgment
goes over the head of the critical thinking impaired.

You could offer the Catholic Church as an infallible guide through
these murky times. But recent scandals give people few reasons to
accept that based on feeling alone. And if they had the critical
thinking skills needed to come that conclusion based on evidence alone
-- then the DaVinci movie wouldn't be a problem. (So the scandal
was part of the diabolical plot.)

Unless I've missed something - there is nothing you can humanly do,
except not fall for the deceptions yourself. Apart from a miracle,
the devils have won. But then, they have been in that situation
many times before ...
