[Apologetics] DaVinci Code is not the problem

Jim,
I believe you are being satrical. Turn about is indeed
fair play.
No one else got to see the humorous message I sent you
about the Jim Murphy Code. You know, Tom Hanks looks a
lot like you, so he could play you in the movie. Don't
give away the ending.
(Have you checked out all of those Bible citations
yet? If so, I eagerly await your pronouncement on
them.)
Under the small chance you were serious, I'll state
the obvious: Dan Brown and the Sony movie deny the
essential elements of Christianity. Tim LaHaye's brand
of Protestantism is well within the boundaries of the
Christian faith.
Belief in the Rapture is a much different form of
Christianity than the one I profess, but I would never
suggest for a second that Tim was not a good
Christian.
I'm amused when some fundamentalists claim that
Catholics are not Christians. They obviously know
absolutely nothing about history. But I'm not amused
when some Catholics, who ought to know better, make
the same claim about Protestants.
I don't think you were serious in stating that the
Left Behind series was a greater threat to
Christianity than the DaVinci Code book and movie.
In the unlikely event you were serious, then I urge
you to formulate a plan to actually DO something, in
Georgia or nationally, to counteract the popularity of
the Left Behind series of books.
