[Apologetics] Adventist material on xanga.com

Hi

Adventism is one of the extreme groups. But many are not so extreme -
Adventism is becoming more and more polarised in that sense. The moderates
are quite happy with ecumenical relations with other groups; the extremists
see it as a sign they need to get out of the Babylon they see their
denomination as becoming. The website mentioned is one of the more
extremist groups. I didn't find any specific mention of the Trinity, but
some extremists even reject that teaching. Most extremists tend to remain
Adventist and quite vocally anti-Catholic. Their leadership tends to lean
towards the more conservative side, without expressing themselves in an
overtly anti-Catholic way.

I'm hoping that the outcome of this Bacchiocchi scandal will be a blow to
the strength of their anti-Catholic agenda, which is bolstered by having an
international travelling scholar do seminars around the world on how he
discovered that the Sabbath was replaced by Sunday as part of a subversion
of true Christian roots while getting a PhD cum laude at the Gregorian
University in Rome, and subsequently having his thesis published as a book
(From Sabbath to Sunday) by them. (Some groups of extremists tend to claim
he is a Jesuit infiltrator sent by Rome to destroy Adventism from the
inside.)

That's my latest blog post on the matter.

God bless,
Stephen
