Not quite.  Like most Prostestants, he relies on Church Fathers to provide
accurate historical testimony, but doesn't necessarily accept all their
theological conclusions.  The historical testimony (Matthew wrote/edited this
book, Jesus did this, Jesus said that) is quite sufficient to establish the
divinity of Christ.  This is in contrast to "Jesus Seminar" scholars who
portray the Church Fathers as evil conspirators who were able to create
consistent faked documents with dozens of purpoted authors over many decades
(centuries counting the OT) and effectively destroy almost all genuine
manuscripts.
