Hi

Ironically, a lot of people are now declaring Hagee to be an antichrist, because
of his statements regarding Jesus not being the Messiah.  It's not something
I've really looked into, but someone sent a few links the other day.  I'll have
to track them down at home, where my internet connection isn't working well
because of the weather.

John Hagee Exposed
The Rev John Hagee of Cornerstone church denies that Jesus was the messiah.

Below is quotes by John Hagee in his book called "In Defense of Israel"... As
anyone can see, this is pure heresy, antichrist and blasphemy according to the
Word of God...

"The Jews did not Reject Jesus as Messiah" (p. 132)

If God intended for Jesus to be the Messiah of Israel, why didn't he authorize
Jesus to use supernatural signs to prove he was God's Messiah, just as Moses
had done? (p. 137)

Jesus refused to produce a sign ... because it was not the Father's will, nor
his, to be Messiah. (p 138)

If Jesus wanted to be Messiah, why did he repeatedly tell his disciples and
followers to "tell no one" about his supernatural accomplishments? (p. 139)

The Jews were not rejecting Jesus as Messiah; it was Jesus who was refusing to
be the Messiah to the Jews. (p. 140)

They wanted him to be their Messiah, but he flatly refused. (p. 141)

He refused to be their Messiah, choosing instead to be the Savior of the world
(p. 143)

Jesus rejected to the last detail the role of Messiah in word or deed. (p. 145)

There has been some question about John Hagee’s position on this issue. In the
video clip in this piece at Apprising Ministries you will hear for yourself
John Hagee say his book In Defense Of Israel “will shake Christian theology.”

And further that, “it Scripturally proves
that Jesus did not come to earth to be
the Messiah
 It will prove
Jesus refused by word and deed to claim to be the
Messiah
”

Who are you going to believe? Because in his book In Defense of Israel John
Hagee writes:

    Jesus refused to drink the Messiah’s cup
 In refusing to drink the cup,
Jesus rejected to the last detail the role of Messiah in word or deed. The Jews
did not reject Jesus as Messiah; it was Jesus who rejected the Jewish desire for
him to be their Messiah. (144, 145, emphasis his)

But the inspired Apostle Paul disagrees:

    there was a synagogue of the Jews. And according to Paul’s custom, he went
to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
explaining and giving evidence that the Christ had to suffer and rise again
from the dead, and saying, "This Jesus whom I am proclaiming to you is the
Christ." (Acts 17:1-3)
