In Symposium, Plato has characters describe gay relationships as *better* than
marriage.  So the AofC isn't quite pagan either.  I am reminded of
the line from Prince Caspian, "... But when a human is becoming a beast, or
a beast is trying to be human, you watch your back and reach for your sword."
