most top issues.  On the critical issue of the economy, the GOP leads

in the House, Senate, and Republican National Committee.

Senator Tom Coburn, a physician, says the $460 billion in Medicare cuts
to finance Obamacare would shorten seniors' lives.  But AARP defends the
cuts and strongly supports Obamacare.

Senate Democrats are preparing for hardball tactics to get Obamacare
passed soon.  Sen. Dick Durbin says, "We're just not going to sit here
forever and watch this bill go down."

Charles Krauthammer, a physician, columnist, and commentator, says
Obamacare Bill should be killed because it "is irredeemable." Democrats
oppose proposals, including tort reform and interstate health insurance,
that would actually solve big problems.

Voters oppose Obamacare 53% to 41%.  But support tort reform by a 2 to 1
margin.

A showdown on abortion could kill Obamacare.  The Senate bill now would
allow federal funding of abortion on demand in a "public option" and let
private insurers that receive federal subsidies offer plans that include
elective abortions.

Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) said he will introduce a pro-life amendment
similar to the Stupak-Pitts Amendment that passed in the House.  Nelson
voted to bring the Obamacare Bill to the Senate floor for debate but
will vote against the legislation if his amendment is not passed. 

Several liberal House members have vowed to vote against a conference
committee report on Obamacare if abortion is not funded like any other
health care procedure.  Since the bill passed the House only 220-215, a
reversal of just 3 votes could kill it.
