I'm going to a function on Sunday night where Gerry Matatics will also
be in attendance.  
 
For those who do not know who Matatics is, he is a convert from
Protestantism who then became a prominent ultra-traditionalist. He is
known derisively as Gerry Schismatics.  Matatics does not accept Pope
Benedict XVI, Pope John Paul II, Pope Paul VI, nor Pope John XXIII as
valid popes.

What--if anything--should I say to Matatics or ask him?  Since he is so
far removed from reality, I cannot think of anything to say.  I might
just introduce myself.  Maybe I won't even do that, since this is not a
religious event (although I notice that three priests and two ministers
are also on the attendance list).
 
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

The "Tribute to Joe Sobran" begins at 6 p.m.
on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13 at the Key Bridge Marriott
is 1401 Lee Highway, Arlington, Virginia. Website:

The closest Metro stop is Rosslyn. Complimentary Parking is available
at the hotel. Be sure to bring your parking ticket and have it stamped
at the event.

When you arrive, take the elevators to the 14th floor. The event
is in the Capital View Ballroom.

No tickets will be issued. Your name tag, which will be
waiting for you at the event, will serve as your ticket.

If for some reason you are not able to attend, please contact
me immediately. We will have assigned seating, and I need to
give a guarantee to the hotel of the number of guests.
