[Apologetics] Will Biden apologize for using Christ's name as a curse word?

It did NOT seem to me that Biden was using the Lord's name as a CURSE word. Rather, he was using it (inappropriately) for emphasis. There is a big difference.
Of course, Biden is a bit of a loose cannon anyway.

Art,
Actually, I don't read the Washington Examiner. I found a link to the story on http://www.newadvent.org/.
Regarding Biden taking the Lord's name in vain, He DID. You can ask any priest (worth their salt, that is) and they should tell you that any time you use the Lord's name it should be respectfully and/or prayerfully. Inadvertant or not, exclaiming "Oh, God!" or "Jesus Christ" IS taking the Lord's name in vain. Saying it inadvertantly makes it a venial sin, saying it on purpose could make it a mortal sin.

Dianne,
I'm pleased you read the Washington Examiner, which is my favorite newspaper. And I've known Mark Tapscott since 1982 when he worked for the company I work for now (and worked for previously in 1982-83).
Needless to say, I'm no fan of Joe Biden. Never have been. But to be fair, I think I can give him a pass on this particular matter.
In my opinion, he was NOT using the Lord's name as a curse word. Rather, he was using it for emphasis. It was inappropriate to use it this way, but I've seen very good people react to problems, with "Oh, God!" and similar exclamations. But it usually inadvertant and just comes out without thinking.
I have no idea if Biden does this a lot or only rarely. When this happens to any of us, we should figuratively slap ourselves and demand that we have better control of our verbal utterances.
I certainly hope that Biden is sorry for this slip and determined to exercise greater self control in the future. But I have have so many other differences with him on premeditated matters, I would not want to pick a fight with him on this right now.

Will Biden apologize for using Christ's name as a curse word?

Can you imagine the uproar that would ensue if the Vice President of the United States used the name of Islam's supreme being as a curse word? They rioted all over the Muslim world when a Danish newspaper cartoonist penned a series of satiric pieces on Mohammed, so making "Allah" a curse word would likely incite far more serious violence.
And does anybody doubt that the editorial pages of The New York Times and other liberal newspapers would instantly demand an apology before further damage is done to America's supposed standing in the world. Joining in that chorus would be the National Council of Churches, Democratic congressional leaders and, of course, CAIR.
So where is the uproar over Vice President Joe Biden's incredible use of "Jesus Christ" as a curse word?
This is not merely a gaffe or "insensitivity." Taking in vain the name of the man billions of Christians for two millenia have accepted as the creator and Savior of the entire world is either a consciously chosen insult or the kind of unthinking idiocy that disqualifies this guy from being one heartbeat away from the presidency.
How many more stupid comments does it take before his handlers in the White House realize it's time for this dunce to retire?
Biden's remark came in an interview published today by The Wall Street Journal.
Excerpts: Biden on Eastern Europe
“I can see Putin sitting in Moscow saying, 'Jesus Christ, Iran gets the nuclear weapon, who goes first?' Moscow, not Washington.”
