[Apologetics] Thoughts on the killing of Dr. George Tiller

While Tiller was an usher at the Reformation Lutheran Church, a news article reported, "Funeral services for Tiller are planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at College Hill United Methodist Church."
That's odd.
Perhaps he held membeship in both churches. Or maybe the Reformation Lutheran Church was too small to hold the expected outpouring of abortion enthusiasts who want to pay tribute to Tiller. It might be the minister at Reformation Lutheran Church will preside at the service at the larger United Methodist Church.

ELCA is in the same camp as TECUSA (and the ultra liberal Methodist
and Presbyterian branches that I can never remember which is which). When you
reject the founding documents of Christianity and can find only three words
of Christ that are "authentic", then I don't see how the label "Christianity"
for their doctrines can apply - no matter how relaxed the standard. Now the
folks in ELCA and TECUSA are probably properly baptized, and therefore
"christian" in that sense. This is why orthodox protestants prefer a
subjective definition of "christian", so that folks in ELCA and TECUSA and the
rest can be excluded. Of course, there is a lot to be said for the Catholic
view that they *are* "christian", but in rebellion.
