"An unmistakable rebuke of Democrats," says Politico.com.  Is the
national Democratic Party listening?  Virginia's Democratic candidate
for governor had complained that he was being hurt by the national
party's agenda.  If Obama was on the ballot this year...  He would have
lost 49% to 45%, says national poll.

Public support for Obamacare drops again.  Since House Speaker Nancy
Pelosi produced her version.  AARP 'fesses up: It is indeed supporting
Pelosi's Obamacare.  The liberal lobby had previously denied this to
angry members.  Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid now refuses to set a
timetable for passage.  This is seen as a sign of weakness-that he lacks
support to override a GOP/Lieberman filibuster.

Maine voters repeal a law passed by their legislature to permit
homosexual marriages.  Same-sex marriage has now lost in every state
(31) in which it has been put to a popular vote.  This may impact other
states.  Such as New York and New Jersey, where similar legislation is
being considered.  Maine may also impact 'don't ask, don't tell.'  How
many members of Congress will want to buck such strong public opinion?
