As previously noted, the ACLU is the very last orgnaization in the nation that could call ANYONE an extremist.
It is clear the liberals are attacking the Stupak-Pitts language with everything they've got. We must counter their actions with everything we possibly can!

Dear ACLU Supporter,
As the health care bill moves through the Senate, we must do everything we can to ensure that the reproductive freedom of millions of women all across the country is protected.
The ACLU is joining dozens of other groups in organizing a Capitol Hill Lobby Day on Wednesday, December 2nd. Make your voice heard in opposition to health care reform that limits access to abortion.
We’re counting on you to let members of Congress, in both the House and Senate, know that Americans don’t want the government interfering in their personal lives.
Learn more and sign up to attend our critical December 2nd Lobby Day right now!
As you may know, anti-choice forces in the House—led by Representatives Stupak and Pitts—succeeded in making the House health care bill a vehicle for advancing their agenda. This is an effort to dramatically alter the landscape of reproductive rights for women all across the country.
Health care reform should improve women’s health and lives, not interfere with their ability to get the health care they need. But politics and ideology came together in a toxic mix when the House of Representatives added the Stupak-Pitts amendment to the Affordable Health Care for America Act.
We can’t let the same thing happen in the Senate or in the final legislation.
Sign up to attend our critical December 2nd Lobby Day right now!
We really need you out there on December 2nd. Please do everything you can to get there.
Sincerely,
Vania Leveille
ACLU Legislative Counsel
P.S. Can’t make it in person? Sign our petition. Hundreds of thousands of people are telling President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Reid and Speaker Pelosi to protect the reproductive freedom of millions of American women. Sign the petition urging our country’s leaders to reject anti-choice efforts to hijack health care.
