Conservatives and the GOP:

ConservativeHQ.com's Richard Viguerie has written to Tea Party leaders
and conservative activists to urge them to stay focused on winning
primary elections. "We should be giving no serious thoughts at this time
to the 2012 presidential election, nor even the November 2, 2010
election."

The Washington Post poll found voters upset with Obamacare and Democrats
in Congress. "The overall political landscape continues to look
favorable for Republicans to make gains in November."

Rasmussen Reports show that Republicans lead nationally for Congress 46%
to 39%. Independents favor the GOP 45% to 25%.

Rasmussen state polls show Republicans ahead in 5, Democrats lead in 5,
and 1 independent on top. Democrats look unbeatable in New York and
Hawaii.

Benefits:

All polls show the American people still oppose Obamacare. 54% of the
people want the law repealed, according to Rasmussen Reports.

Seniors are especially opposed to Obamacare. Cuts in Medicare, which the
Associated Press said "will sting," are required in order to use that
money to finance other parts of Obamacare.

Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) and 15 cosponsors have introduced S 3152 to
repeal Obamacare. Four bills have also been introduced in the House to
repeal the new law.

 Rep. Bart Stupak

Values:

Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI) attempted to defend his betrayal of the
pro-life movement in an article in the Washington Post. With the vote
count tied 209-209, Stupak sided with the pro-abortion advocates, which
provided the margin to pass Obamacare.

The Post's Kathleen Parker had written that Stupak deceived the
pro-lifers and paved the way for public funding of elective abortions.
Stupak protested that "pro-life groups rallied behind me without my
knowledge or consent" and claimed all they really wanted to do was "kill
health-care legislation."

Stupak compared President Obama's executive order on abortion funding to
President Bush's executive order on embryonic stem cell research. But
Bush's order did not conflict with federal law, while Obama's order is
invalid because it conflicts with seven different provisions of the new
health care law.

Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Richard A. Viguerie
