Conservatives and the GOP:
Richard Viguerie of ConservativeHQ.com has written to Tea Party leaders
and conservative activists to recommend 5 criteria for supporting
candidates: Putting the Constitution front and center; being surrounded
by principled conservatives; going on the offense against liberalism;
support for new congressional leaders; and persons who will be
boat-rockers.
Conservative Marco Rubio has built an overwhelming 57%--28% lead over
moderate Charlie Crist in the Republican Primary for U.S. Senator. 3%
are for other candidates and 12% are undecided.
For the 3rd straight week, Republicans hold a 9 percent lead for the
Democrats for Congress, according to Rasmussen Reports. Gallup has the
GOP ahead by 4 percent.
In 10 state races, Republicans lead in 6, Democrats in 4. Incumbent
Democratic senators have only 2 percent leads in California and
Washington.

Benefits:
The number of voters who want to repeal Obamacare has increased from 54%
to 58% in the last week. Those who want to keep the new law declined
from 42% to 38%.
In the House, 8 new representatives have become cosponsors of at least
one of the five bills to repeal Obamacare. There are now 65 sponsors
and cosponsors of repeal legislation in the House and 16 in the Senate.
Dr. Janice Linn, a Montana physician, has written a blistering letter to
Senator Max Baucus to refute his claim that Obamacare "will help
millions of American families." She wrote, "Are you kidding me? We
will not stand idly by and watch you destroy American medicine and
American lives in the name of cost control."

From the film
"Letters to God"

Values:
Having betrayed the pro-life cause in providing the margin of victory
for Obamacare, Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI) will not run for
re-election. Columnist Kathleen Parker, who wrote a devastating
critique of Stupak's apostasy, has won the Pulitzer Prize for
commentary.
The Susan B. Anthony List, the Tea Party Express, and the Family
Research Council were among the many conservative groups that have
harshly criticized Stupak's vote for Obamacare with its public funding
of abortion. Stupak is likely to receive an appointment in the Obama
Administration.
Letters to God is a new movie about an 8-year old boy dying of brain
cancer who writes and mails daily letters to God. The film is based on
a true story.
The movie critic for Baptist Press notes it "is a church film if ever
there was one." Movieguide, which evaluates motion pictures from a
Christian perspective, says it is "entertaining, heart-rending, and
inspiring."
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Richard A. Viguerie
