RNC Chairman Michael Steele is spending twice as much as his recent
predecessors on private planes, limousines, catering, flowers, and
expensive hotels.  As a result, some angry donors have shifted their
contributions to the Republican Governors Association and the National
Republican Senatorial Committee.

In Florida, conservative Marco Rubio may be on the way to landslide
victories for U.S. Senator in both the GOP Primary and the general
election.  Rubio leads moderate Charlie Crist 54% to 36% in the latest
poll.

Also in Florida, former Republican Congressman Bill McCollum is running
strongly for Governor against Democrat Adelaide "Alex" Sink.  McCollum
is ahead 48% to 35%.

In Texas, conservative Governor Rick Perry could win the March 2 GOP
Primary without a runoff.  He leads moderate Kay Bailey Hutchison 48% to
27% with 16% for Debra Medina and 9% undecided.

Rock and roll legend Chubby Checker has made a public service
announcement video explaining a new "Twist" in the law to help seniors
quality for the Extra Help Program with Medicare prescription drug
costs.  Social Security Commissioner Michael Astrue said he he's
thrilled Checker volunteered to help spread the message that will help
"hundreds of thousands of Americans who are struggling."

Patty Duke also has made a series of public service announcements in
support of signing up for Social Security online.  She reprises her
roles as identical cousins, Patty Lane and Cathy Lane, in the 1960s

38 more conditions have been added to the list of Compassionate
Allowances in order to quickly identify medical conditions that clearly
quality for Social Security and Supplemental Security Income disability
benefits.  This expansion will allow persons with devastating
disabilities to be approved for benefits in days, rather than months or
years.

Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI), the author of the Stupak pro-life
amendment that passed the House, says President Obama's new version of
Obamacare is "unacceptable."  The Senate version provides for federal
funding of elective abortions and Obama wants to expand that even more.

The National Right to Life Committee said the Senate bill is "the most
expansively pro-abortion bill ever to be brought to the floor of either
house of Congress since Roe v. Wade."  And the Obama proposal is "the
pro-abortion Senate bill on steroids."

Liberals in Congress are determined to use "reconciliation," a
parliamentary trick to pass legislation through the Senate that cannot
be filibustered.  The only way Obamacare can be defeated is if many of
the 42 House members who voted for the Stupak Amendment and for passage
of the Obamacare Bill vote against the Senate's pro-abortion version.
