the GOP:

Only 20% of voters approve of the job Congress is doing.  In 1994, when
23% approved of Congress, the GOP gained 53 House seats.

There are major differences between grassroots Republicans and Democrats
on the role of government.  81% of Republicans think government is doing
too much, while 63% of Democrats want it do even more. 

Conservatives outnumber liberals by more than 2-1.  42% of the people
say they are conservatives, 35% moderates, only 20% liberals.

In 17 Rasmussen polls on state races, the GOP is ahead in 11, Democrats
in 5, and 1 tie.  Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Nikki Haley, and Sharron Angle
are well ahead of their Democratic opponents.

The latest Rasmussen poll finds that 52% of the public wants to repeal
Obamacare and 40% wants to keep it.  But five weeks ago, 63% wanted to
repeal the new law and 32% wanted to keep it.

The gains in public opinion for Obamacare can be traced to the
taxpayers-funded propaganda mailed to every senior in the nation.   The
federal government is also paying $1 million for radio ads that laud the
new law.

Congressman Wally Herger (R-CA) and Congressman Steve King (R-IA) have
filed separate discharge petitions in the House for legislation to
repeal all or parts of Obamacare.  Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH)
and Eric Cantor (R-VA) have signed both discharge petitions and are
encouraging others to do the same.

The Supreme Court ruled that colleges and universities may deny
recognition to student religious organizations that exclude from
membership persons who reject the beliefs of that group.  The Christian
Legal Society at a law school in San Francisco had a statement that
"unrepentant participation in, or advocacy of, a sexually immoral
lifestyle" is inconsistent with their faith.

In a dissent, Justice Samuel Alito wrote that the majority opinion "is a
serious setback for freedom of expression in this country."   Jay
Sekulow of the American Society for Law and Justice said the decision
"damages the constitutional rights of religious organizations."

The Supreme Court remanded the case back to the 9th Circuit Court of
Appeals to determine if the college policy had been applied in a
discriminatory manner.  There is evidence that liberal groups have been
allowed to discriminate on the basis of ideology and race.
