I hope people don't get too confident and cocky about a Republican win. We
don't want to give away the election because people don't show up to vote. We
still need every vote possible.

Click to learn What's Happening with Conservatives and the GOP:
Political analyst Charlie Cooks says all of the poll results look worse for
Democrats now than they did in 1994 when they lost big. The latest Gallup Poll
finds the GOP ahead by the biggest margin in the history of midterm
congressional elections.
Gallup also found Republicans had a 2 to 1 advantage over the Democrats in
enthusiasm for voting, indicating a very big GOP turnout. Needing 39 seats to
gain control of the House, it appears the Republicans could pick up about 70
seats.
Political strategist Dick Morris says the GOP will also gain control of the
Senate. Looking at state polls, Republicans may meet or exceed the 10 seats
needed.

Click to learnWhat's Happening with Seniors Benefits:
Facing defeat in the November elections, desperate Democrats are trying to
strike back by claiming Republicans would weaken or abolish Social Security.
The independent FactCheck.org website says such claims are "not true."
Senators Harry Reid (NV) and Michael Bennet (CO), and 5 Democratic
representatives, have all made inflammatory commercials claiming the GOP wants
to eliminate Social Security entirely. Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post
learned "far more commercials" like that are to come from Democrats.
Senator Bernard Sanders (VT), an independent socialist who caucuses with the
Democrats, claims the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says the IOUs in the
Trust Fund will be able to pay full benefits for the next 29 years. In fact,
both CBO and the White House Office of Management and Budget say the IOUs are
not real assets that can be used to pay benefits.

Click to learn What's Happening with Christian Values:
The Gallup Poll finds that Muslims have the highest approval ratings for
President Obama and Mormons have the lowest. Atheists and Jews also rate Obama
highly with Catholics are in the middle and Protestants lower.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit ruled the University of
Wisconsin-Madison violated the First Amendment rights of a Catholic student
group by refusing to fund their events, while providing funding for other
student organizations. Jordan Lorence of the Alliance Defense Fund said, "The
constitutional rights of Christian student organizations should be recognized by
university officials just as they recognize those rights for other student
groups."
A new Rasmussen poll finds that 38% of voters say judges are too liberal, while
18% believe they are too conservative, and 31% think they are just right. By a
62% to 25% margin, voters believe judges should be elected by the people, rather
than appointed for life.
