RE: [Apologetics] North African bishops: ‘No to war’ in Libya

I thought the article was interesting and timely, but I haven't devoted the time to studying this matter.
 
I don't know if all of the allegations about Quaddafi are true. Perhaps the bishops in North Africa are a more reliable source of information than Obama!
 
My general impression is that the U.S. should NOT be involved in this war, in which we have no apparant national interest, and certainly NOT without the concurrence of Congress. I don't believe the leaders in the House and Senate were even informed in advance of Obama's military actions.
 
If the bishops in North Africa are opposed to the war too, I think that should cause all of us to question the rationale that has been given to us for American intervention.
 
I guess it is possible Obama might be doing the right thing in Libya, but my opinion of him is so negative, my instinct is to oppose everything he does.
 
Right now, I can't think of a single thing he's done with which I agree.  There are some things worse than others, of course, but I can't think of a single issue where he is on the right side.

I don’t understand the appeal to ask NATO to lay down their arms.  Do they want Quaddafi to murder his own citizens?
