Hey, I wonder how many of them voted for Obama.  It kind of reminds me of the man who drowned in a river, the average depth being 2'.  Such a high percentage may sound good, but the fact is: most "Christian" denominations have revised or updated moral teachings to denude them almost entirely of any semblance to truth.  Plus, how many material heretics do you think are in-charge of catechetics at Catholic parishes (or who preside over them)?  It's a mess - but that shouldn't stop us from having a Merry Christmas!

Seventy-seven  percent of American adults identify with a Christian religion, including  52% Protestant, 23% Catholic, and 2% Mormon. Six percent identify with a  non-Christian religion and 18% have no explicit religious  identity.
