physics that affect mutating ability ... but there is a clear end goal.  We
cannot observe God's direction in what goes on in the genome - at least not
yet.  All science can say is that there is no (known) law of physics that
directs the mutations.  Science means "unguided" in that sense.  A scientist
trying to say anything more than that about the meaning of the term
"unguided" would be stepping out of science and into theology, and thereby
be arguing for an atheist religion, not science.

The same would apply to the term "unguided" in the sense of evolution.  It
refers not to any divine guidance, but only what can be observed according
to the physical laws we know of.  The idea that a divine creator is
compatible with "unguided" mutations is contradictory if "unguided" is meant
in the way the scientist stepping out of science and into atheistic
apologetics would mean it ... but not contradictory if it is used in the
scientific sense of having no (known) physical laws dictating that A will
mutate to T in such a situation, but not in another situation.
