Folks, I have been saying this for a long time. The human data is in:
cutting calories reduces a huge number of risk factors for heart attack,
stroke and disability, such as blood pressure, LDL and cholesterol.

Nothing else in medicine that I know of works better. And cutting
calories holds out the promise of postponing aging (really cutting the
rate of aging). NOTHING else does this.
If you want to live a long, healthy life you are much more likely to do
so by cutting calories. And cutting calories for the rest of your life.
Of course, be sure to eat the right things too: enough protein, and the
correct fats, enough fat, veggies, vitamins etc.
