Dear Gathnetters,
I had written earlier about Uncle Eli's tribute written by Joe Shulam of
the Netiviah ministry in Israel. His lastes news letter also contained
a wonderful tribute to Eli. I am taking just one of the paragraphs of
Joes whole newsletter for you.

One of my great prayer requests is that the Lord will strengthen our
community in Israel to live up to the Love and Grace that we have received
from the Lord and act in this same loving and graceful way in the times of
sorrow and grief and need in our community. The real test of our faith is
in the way we act when there are problems. Eliyahu our dear brother, for
whom so many of you have prayed for so long, is gone to be with the Lord.
The cancer in the brain got took his body. In Eliyahu's funeral there were
many Rabbis who came to eulogize him. He was one of the most faithful
brothers that we had in the congregation. He attended the congregation so
faithfully, but he also attended the synagogue in his community outside of
Jerusalem. In all places Eliyahu was one that you can depend on and one who
was as honest and straight as an arrow. He has given a good witness in his
life and in his death the community recognized his witness of the Messiah
and the Kingdom of God. I heard that one of the local Rabbis said to
Eliyahu's son that he should walk in the footsteps of his father. I would
very much like to have this said about me after I cross to the other side
and enter into my eternal abode.
..

Pray for the family of Eliyahu that the Lord will comfort tem and that we as
as a body of the Messiah would be able to help them in all the things that
would make their lives without Eliyahu more graciously acceptable.
