Dear All,
It's been a while since I wrote to Gathnet - as Eli
had done every week...so here is a bit about us.
We went to visit our friends up north for a couple of
days during the Purim holiday. It has been a while
since we went anywhere. We took the train (in spite
of the kids' protests) as I don't like driving and the
train is very convenient and pleasant.
Pesach (Passover) is approaching and we are planning
to spend the Seder at my cousin's where my other
cousin and my aunt and uncle will be as well. Since we
don't travel on the holiday and the Seder is on a
Saturday night, it means we will have to sleep there
for two (Friday and Saturday) nights - which I don't
really want to do, but I see no other choice...Last
year we all went there for the Seder and I can't help
remembering how hard it was already for Eli at that
time...
Ortal is missing her yearly school trip since she has
a cold - so she stayed home.
Next September Moshe's class is to go on a trip to
Poland to visit the concentration camps and
commemorate the holocaust victims. This is sponsored
by the Education Ministry for highschool seniors and I
hear it is an incredible experience!
Well, we are anticipating a most difficult time here
this summer when the disengagement plan is to take
place. There are some right wing extremists who are
planning to fight (maybe fire on) our soldiers! They
have done some crazy things (like threatening to dig
up graves of minister's children for ex. and many
other gross and violent threats) There is fear of a
civil war but I certainly hope things will be
contained...
I recently saw a program about codes which are hidden
in the Hebrew letters in the text of the bible. I
thought is was fascinating! Any thoughts about it out
there?
love to all,
Judy
