[Gathnet] catholics/protestants and the bible

Hi Elissa--I am a great great aunt in law of sorts. I have several
Catholic friends and you are in a never ending discussion trying to
change their minds or to make them understand that you aren't against
them. I had never heard anyone say that Catholics and Christians were not
on the "same page" until I met the lady who I see three times a week for
a home health agency. She had a royal fit when we had a Christian Nursing
Agency stop in to give her evening medicines. She very nastily said to
me, "Well, how would you like a Catholic giving you your meds?" I was so
surprised--I still can't believe she feels that way. 
   They just can't believe that all the rituals that they have added on
over the years are not in the original scriptures. Good luck, keep your
friends, but I don't think they will ever understand that there are
several ways of serving the Lord, and they all please Him. Grace Gathman
