Hey all,
I have about 5 mins on the computer on a neighbor's generator.

We were very hard hit by the Midwest storms, are without power, and
with the coldest temperatures we usually get throughout the year. Tree
damage is great. Some of you may remember we have a beautiful stand of
Pines, most with with a diameter aof 2-3 feet, near the house. Four of
those fell from the ice. However, God apparently had an angel pushing
them this way and that, because while they look like "pick-up sticks"
acrsoss the yard, none hit the house (to the eye, a anutral falling
zone. The one that did fall toards the house slipped backwards from
it's base about 8 feet, like it was pulled back, and the tops of that
tree, now shorter by 8 feet, brushed the tractor (covered) with no
damage, and didn't touch the house. We are very greatful for God's
protection.

We are also grateful for Mom and Dad, who highly recommended we get a
woodstove, and caused me to remember how much we liked the Woodstock
Soapstone stove. I think we're the warmest in the area. I wouldn't
have thought of it last year without mom's suggestion, and wouldn't have
gotten enough wood to burn for this year, if we hadn't gotten it
installed last year. Additionally, a neighbor is building a house close
by, and I've been able to stock up with wood he's cut down. Given we're
supplying the widow two doors down with lots of wood for her fireplace,
it's yet another example of God's providence in providing before it
happened.

Anyway, God bless you all, We're warm, and safe by God's provision.

Jonathan
