Dear Gathnetters,

I have been gently asked to give more frequent info on Anne's condition
via gathnet. Well, I am sorry that I have been so negligent. It is
quite hard to get time where my brain is not overloaded and my body is
not too tired to do this task.

About two weeks ago, Anne was in the kitchen standing with her walker
and cutting something with a pair of sharp ended scissors. She made
quiet comment "I am feeling faint" and started to slump. Believe it or
not, I got my over sized body over to her and my arms under her arm
pits before she hit the floor. She came to in about 5 or ten minutes
and I was able to get her back to her chair to rest. I was really
scared especially with the fact if she had fallen with the scissors
pointed into her body. It no doubt would have stabbed her. Since then I
am trying to be with her when ever she gets up and walks with the
walker. Thus this is 24/7 nursing care.

Anne just sort of sits there with out much interest in things except the
placement of certain nicknacks in the room in which she is sitting. She
enjoys my comments on the day's happenings when I use the internet to
read the news however she will not use the computer by herself. She is
not interested much in reading nor DVD's, nor audio books but just
listens to Rush in the a.m. and the classical music station from Mexico
the rest of the day. I do manage to interest her in some sermon
material from Chuck Missler in the evening before bed time. She just
keeps on hoping that she will be raptured soon. A short trip to the
doctors office or to Anita's or to the store where I go in and she sits
in the car exhausts her a lot and she spends the rest of the day sitting
in her chair. She does catch sight of some weeds growing in the lawn
from time to time and instructs me to go and get them.

We went to the doctor on Weds and he is concerned at the slow speed of
healing of the wound. I have daily pictures of the wound and you can
see some progress however. The Doc thought about making two more slices
in the leg parallel to the wound and stretching the skin here over the
bone. Anne doesn't want to have any more operations if she can help
it. Also, there is a good chance that that won't work also. The Dr.
is worried about the bone dying at the break area.

In the end he decided to keep up what we are doing using that fancy
$100.00 a bottle green goop and daily changing the bandages while on
antibiotics. He wants to see her every week for a while, but Anne is
complaining about that also. We go see our main doctor on this coming
Weds. Then Dr. Levi the bone specialist on Friday.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, the weeds are growing like crazy after
some rain and I am getting farther and father behind in all my work and
taxes.

Love, to you all,

der Alt_Grossvater
