Dear Gathnetters,
I have been able to not comment on the upcoming election until now. I am
not happy with the way Bush handled the open border problem nor the bail
out of banks etc. Certainly anyone would not want to continue with these
misguided policies. I am not a fan of McCain either.... I was originally
planning to vote for a third party until I saw what Barak Obama believes
and plans for America. Indeed He is a masterful speaker (with video
prompters). You all should look a some of the speeches of Adolf Hitler.
He also was a masterful socialist speaker. He even wrote his “vision”
for Germany and world in “Mein Kampf” and yet the German people, being
in a bad financial situation, voted for this man in a perfectly
legitimate way. He also had the leftist brown shirts using the streets
to further his “will”. I am not saying that Obama is a Hitler, yet there
are some very disturbing similarities.
Fortunately, Obama when talking without his teleprompter has let us know
what he really thinks. The very idea of “sharing the wealth” comes right
out of Marx. The Socialists all use this as a battle cry but in every
case where it was tried, it turns out to be a sharing of poverty. I
don't know how many of you have been in Marxist countries but I have. My
most persistent memory is from a grandmother sitting on a dirty blanket
with a pile of beans about 6 inches high which she was selling at the
market to try to get cash. She wasn't the only one, there were many many
more. This was in Tanzania while they were under a pure Marxist
government. I also had a number of Russian friends who were scientists
in the state laboratories in the years before Reagan. They had the story
of “They pretend to pay us while we pretend to work”.. Thus unnecessary
poverty for all. Some of course did work because of their character. I
remember especially the international meeting in Canberra Australia. One
of the Russian special speakers gave a masterful talk which I thought
was Biblically Scientifically and Morally Great. However, this poor man
was surrounded with a group of about 6 thugs. When he left the
auditorium to go to the bathroom, all of the thugs went with him. He
couldn't do anything with out these thugs watching him. It was awful.
(Obviously, the thugs were too stupid to know what he was speaking about
during his talk in English.)
I can't imagine why anyone would with their eyes open give any power to
a socialist especially with a one party congress. What ever happened to
the old Democratic Party who believed in the constitution and freedom etc.?
I have a reading assignment for any of you who are considering voting
for Obama..... Read “Animal Farm” again.
I spent my whole working career working for bureaucrats in the
Government. Indeed the major problem with Government run programs is
that bad apples in the line of command are usually let to continue or
are booted upstairs to get rid of them. In private business, they are
out! I had a small physical problem while in the UK once and made the
mistake of going to the “free” hospital for care. What a laugh! Same
thing when we experienced the FEMA “care” here when we were evacuated
from our home. Again, what a laugh. The only thing that helped here for
our neighbors who did loose their homes was the local church.
Anyway, to avoid such possibilities here is that I guess we have to vote
McCain.
Love, der alt Grossvater
