[Gathnet] Loan payoff: The other side of the story

Brenda at BB&T finished researching the loan payoff, and issued a new 
certificate of satisfaction.  They have records of mailing the cert and 
paperwork to the county in 2004.  They never got the paperwork back, and 
failed to follow up on it due to ongoing confusion with the merger (of 
First Virginia into BB&T).  The loan officer says she regularly has to 
personally take certs to the courthouse to resubmit when they are dropped 
by the county.

I personally took the certificate to the courthouse and paid the $42 to 
record it.  The bank would have mailed it again (and I'd already paid for 
the service in 2004), but I just wanted to make sure it was done.
