Subject: [Linux] SQUID Control with smb_auth

All,
  Wanted to let you know I've got Squid set up with "smb_auth", i.e. 
it's tied into being able to access windows drives, etc with SAMBA.  
This allows me to have a set of "safe-sites" the kids can access, and 
still allows Jacqui, me and approved visitors to access the web as 
needed without adding each site viewed (Dad hated that).

  This was needed because the "identd" service, which was never really 
that safe, has been "excommunicated" with later versions of Fedora (I'm 
on FC5).

  It's late now, but if you're interested in how to get that up and 
going, I'll be glad to write it up at a more reasonable time of day.
