A lot of it just looks like a firewall in case you yourself get in some kind of outside trouble Meetup won't get dragged into it.
The only iffy part is the promise to seek arbitration instead of sueing them, but when was the last time Meetup killed somebody?
BTW parsing this TOS would be easier if they just ran a diff against the previous contract.

Mainly, I'm looking for limits on *my* liability. If all that is at
stake is Meetup terminating my account, I'm good with it. But the
agreement is all about limiting Meetup's liability, not mine.
