Question for thought:

Why did ESV translators change "reed" to "cubit" at the end of Chapter 42? 
Or for that matter, the Septuagint translators.  One possible reason is 
that a temple compound a mile on a side is much too large for the temple 
mount, and therefore doesn't fit preconcieved notions.  It is also a 
strike against the idea that this temple *should* have been built - too 
big to fit!

That seems to put Ezekiels temple in the time of Zechariah 14.  We might 
have to give this one to the dispensationalists.
