Google is sponsoring its annual "Summer of Code" 
http://code.google.com/summerofcode.html

Google pays a stipend to students to work on open source projects.  We 
didn't advance far enough to participate - unless one of you wants to do a 
crash course this summer.  Deadline for proposals is May 8.  Maybe next 
year.

Ooops.  Minimum age is 18.  But I am still available over the summer.
