Congress Is Denying You the Right To Vote On Homosexual Marriage, Favor Activists Judges
Dear Dianne,
Australia, one of the most liberal nations in the world, has announced that they are banning homosexual marriage. America could do the same if Congress would give citizens the right to participate in the debate.

You see, members of Congress are denying you the right to help decide if we will legalize homosexual marriage. 

This needs to stop! You deserve the right to participate in such an important and far reaching change in our social structure. 

By refusing to bring the Federal Marriage Amendment banning same sex marriage to a vote in Congress, they are conveniently doing two things.

First, they are denying you the right to know where they stand on homosexual marriage. 

Second, they are refusing to give you an opportunity to be involved in the process. 

It is time for these members of Congress to stop denying you the right to participate! 

Please let them hear from you. Tell them you want your voice to be heard regarding this issue. Tell them you expect them to vote for the Federal Marriage Amendment banning homosexual marriage, and if they will not then you will not vote for them. 

That is strong language, but at the present time it is the only language they understand. 

While it is true that the legislatures in the 50 states will vote on the marriage amendment once it is passed out of Congress, in many states a vote by the people would be expected. In fact, in at least eight states this fall voters will be voting on a constitutional amendment on the state level. 

Even if you don’t get to vote directly on the issue, at least you would have more influence with the members of your state legislature than with members of Congress. 

Click here for a list of Senators who have agreed to co-sponsor The Federal Marriage Amendment and thus give you a voice. If your Senators are not on this list, as a practical matter they favor homosexual marriage. Most of them will deny that statement, but in reality it is a fact. They will give you various run-a-round answers and try to confuse you any way they can. Just remember the bottom line: if they won’t co-sponsor the Federal Marriage Amendment, they are for homosexual marriage. Tell them to forget the run-a-round, just give you a simple answer: Will you vote for the Federal Marriage Amendment—yes or no. 

PLEASE DO TWO THINGS TODAY: 

(1) Send an e-mail that will go to your Senators. This is very important. 

(2) Next, if your Senators are not listed as co-sponsors, call them and tell them to stop denying you the right to participate in this issue. They are saying their constituents favor homosexual marriage because they are not getting any phone calls. You can reach your Senators by calling 1-202-224-3121. It will only cost you about 30 cents. Ask for your Senators by name and the operator will put you through. 

This issue is too important for you to be denied the right to participate in the process. We must not let our Congressional leaders leave this in the hands of a few liberal activist judges which is what will happen if Congress refuses to vote on the Federal Marriage Amendment. 

Finally, and this is most important, forward this information to at least one friend.
