[Apologetics] Fwd: Moment of Truth for the White House by Deal W. Hudson

It'll be interesting to see what the White House will do. Sadly, I don't have much confidence in the current Administration - though granted Carpetbagger Kerry would have been worse. I almost expect a "Haynsworth-Carswell-Blackmun" ploy as described below. There will be an attempted sop for the Catholic and non-Catholic (Protestant, Anglican, Eastern Orthodox, and Orthodox Jews) pro-lifers, but once the sop is given and the Dims filibuster it, the RINOs will give in and they'll say "sorry, Charlie Tuna" - taking us for granted as usual. If Dubya has no compuction about screwing over Israel - our only really ally in the Middle East - and forcing a Munich on them, I doubt there is any compunction about shucking and jiving pro-life Christians and Jews. Dubay and the rest of the RINOs think they have the conservative religious people in their hip pockets because the Dims (Hillary, Teddy, Kerry, etc.) are such anathema to conservative Christians and Jews. Yep, I'm one of many disillusioned and disaffected conservatives who are not happy with Bush for a number of reasons. I take some consolation that Kerry would be even worse. If I vote Repub in 2008, it will only be to do whatever it takes to stop Queen Jezebel Hillary. Otherwise, I will vote Constitution party in every election.

Subject: [Apologetics] Fwd: Moment of Truth for the White House by Deal W. Hudson

This is a VERY significant statement from Deal Hudson,
who has been "in the hip pocket" of the Bush
Administration.

In warning the President not to nominate a
pro-abortion person to replace O'Connor, Hudson did
not name Gonzales, but the implication was
unmistakable.

If the White House thinks it can always "throw a bone"
to the pro-lifers, it is mistaken. If Gonzales is
nominated, there will be a breach with the pro-life
community that will never be repaired.

Also, watch for a combo deal: a conservative to
replace Rehnquist and a moderate (read pro-abortion)
nominee to replace O'Connor.

Pro-lifers response should be: no package!!! We'll
support the conservate, while ACTIVELY opposing
Gonzales.

Make no mistake about it: If Gonzales in nominated, he
WILL be confirmed UNLESS pro-lifers "pull out all the
stops."

The liberals in the Senate know he's the best they
will be able to do and they (there might be a few
token "no" votes from extreme left-wingers) will
support him. And the Senators who are Bush loyalists
will too. Together, that's at least 70 votes, more
than the 67 needed for confirmation.

Also, beware of the Haynsworth-Carswell-Blackmun
ploy. Nominate a strong conservative (or two), let him
(or them) go down to defeat, then say, "Well, I
tried. I'm sorry, but Alberto Gonzales is the best we
can do right now. At least, he won't be any worse than
O'Connor."

If pro-lifers fall for this, it is because they
haven't studied history.
