[Gathnet] Update on Anne

Dear Gathnetters,

As you know, Anne fell and had a serious leg break on Nov 11 (in three 
places).  We spent a month trying to get it to heal in a cast but to no 
avail.  They next did a "rodding" of the tibbia on 15 Dec.   Unfortunately 
due to poor circulation,  one of the bruises on her shin has refused to heal 
and on the 14 of Feb, the doctor got really worried and sent her into the 
hospital because of infection in the bone.   We really don't know what to do 
at this point.  There is 3 or 4 months of daily wound care as an out 
patient,  there is plastic surgery and there is amputation.  Anne is very 
sick of the whole business at this point and wants to do the amputation.   
The doctor wants to try the wound care approach before amputation.  This 
morning Anne called and said the wound care people had started some "green 
goop" approach to the infection late last night.  She said she was feeling 
much better at this point.  Please keep her in your prayers,
