[Gathnet] Some good news

Hello Everyone,
  Thought I would add some good news to be thankful for.  Lauren and 
Eliott have been part of "Junior Bible Quiz", which is run by the 
Assemblies in a Quiz show format.  They answer Bible Knowledge and 
Christian faith questions as well as Quotation Questions(which require 
perfect word-for-word recitations). To do well, you have to memorize the 
book of questions as well as the answers, so you can "interrupt" the 
question.  This is excellent for making the mind work quickly to 
recognize what's coming, and then take the time to answer clearly and 
disctinctly.

 Lauren as been shooting for the "Perfect Score", where you answer all 
the 3 -30 point questions, and 3  of the 20 point questions until you 
"Quiz Out" (6 questions out of 20).  This is very difficult to do, as 
you might imagine.  Lauren accomplished this today (the last match of 
the year).  Lauren was 2nd overall for the year, which is great since 
there is tons of competition in the church.

  Eliott was close to a perfect score today (in the B league... slightly 
less competition), and was 2nd in his division as well.

  We are very proud of the work that they've done, and know that the 
scripture they've hidden in their minds and hearts will continue to 
serve them.

  This was the last regular match of the year, and they will be going to 
"Districts" in Springfield, MO in March.
